Room & Board Shopping Spree

While waiting to meet up with a friend last Friday night, Miguel and I decided to kill some time in the gorgeous Room & Board home design store.

While we primarily went in because we noticed they had a rooftop patio area, I quickly found a handful of things that I wanted to take home with me!

Alas, the store’s prices didn’t agree with my wallet so I only left with these pictures…but I plan to do a little research on eBay to see if I can snag some of the vintage finds myself!

I loved their window graphics…and the reflection!

I dig rooftop shopping!

And the view of a nearby rooftop garden – awesome!!

I am a huge fan of botanical art and this vintage Dr. Auzoux Botanical Chalk Plate is a must have…for somebody with an extra $999 in their pocket!

I found this adorable mustache pillow in the kids area but I wanted it!

I thought this a beautiful and refined way to show off Alexander Girard's illustrations!

I found this a gorgeous alternative to the usual juvenile children’s art! Each Vintage Toy Block assemblage is one-of-a-kind

I’ve recently fallen in love with vintage maps and these one-of-a-kind French School maps are gorgeous!

Bagels and Vintage Shopping in Charlottesville

Whenever I’m in Charlottesville, there are two things that I have to do:
  1. Eat at Bodo’s Bagels, the home of the greatest bagel sandwiches in the world!

  2. And shop for vintage treasures at Circa!

Can't shop on an empty stomach!

A little non-descript but full of goodies!

If only I was in the market (and had space) for some cool, new furniture

Vintage frames and mirrors galore!

Grater #2 for my (slowly) growing collection

I can’t resist vintage bottles!

I was struck by how colorful and graphic this vintage game was…so I had to have it!

More stuff!!

I loved this display of vintage postcards

CB2 Comes to DC!

When my sister noticed the “Coming Soon” sign for CB2 in Georgetown a few months ago she immediately called me from the car to tell me the good news!

With retail stores in only 6 states in the country, I was super psyched that we would soon have one nearby! And I patiently counted down the months till the store finally opened…and then patiently waited another week till my sister was back in town and we could go together!!

This past Saturday we finally made the journey to Georgetown and I took a few pictures along the way to share with you guys …so enjoy!

CB2’s newest location @ 3307 M Street NW, Washington, DC 20007

One of their amazing window displays!

We’re finally inside and the store is gorgeous!

First find – a frame perfect for showing off my latest PostCrossing postcard!

Second find – a recycled iron Robot that I’ve been earmarking in their catalog for months!

I love all the pops of color everywhere!

I ♥ this Electric Blue Club Chair but not the $799 sticker price
