The Turning Point!

About a month ago, Miguel and I had dinner with a local artist to talk about a collaboration idea for Live Love Life Now®.

We talked and brainstormed for hours and I left on such a high after receiving his amazing feedback and support.

But the incredible thing is that the feeling has yet to subside! That meeting was truly the turning point in my (entrepreneurial) life and ever since I have felt super motivated and driven to push my dreams into reality.

Since I initially started this blog in order to overcome the procrastination that was holding me hostage in my own life, I feel kind of strange writing that last statement...but in a really good way!

I still can’t believe that the laziness and procrastination hasn’t overcome me in the weeks since our meeting, but I truly just feel a constant push to move forward.

Alas, there are quite a few particulars to still work out…including the not-so-small detail of finalizing a logo...but every day I am getting that much closer!

Have you ever experienced a ‘turning point’ moment?

Home Alone and Inspired!

It’s Friday, I have the whole weekend ahead of me…and I feel a To Do list coming on!

My boyfriend is out of town for a week shooting footage for his documentary and the thought of him working and pursuing his dreams has inspired me to get seriously productive.

I have felt a bit unmotivated the past few weeks and have avoided posting any To Do lists for that very reason. But tonight I am feeling energized and motivated and therefore have decided to post my goals for this weekend…to ensure that I take action!
  1. Try out idea for upcycling vintage bottles
  2. Go to Ikea in search of new frames to spice up old artwork
  3. Start redecorating apartment (specifically bedroom and living room)
  4. Begin writing entry on the Happiness Project (most amazing book ever!)
  5. Design and post Blog Love section
Wow, those are five meaty tasks to undertake but I’m excited to get going – especially the trip to Ikea (which happens to be one of my favorite stores in the world!!).

What are your goals for this weekend? And how do you keep yourself motivated and on task??

What Can I Do Today?

While doing my yoga routine this morning, my mind started wandering and I thought about all I had accomplished on my trip and yesterday after work. I felt energized and motivated and asked myself “what can I do today?”

Wow, talk about a mental shift!

Normally my thoughts are more along the line of “what do I need to do today?” But in asking myself what can I do today, I took a huge step forward into being proactive and wanting to push Live Love Life Now™ into reality.

Another sign that it’s a big deal? I actually stopped getting ready for work to write this message…and you know I’m not a morning person!

This newfound energy and motivation feels amazing and I plan to take advantage of it for as long as it sticks around!
